Hudson took on Chippewa Falls in the first game of the 2010 River Falls Tournament on Friday evening. The Raiders fell to Chippewa Falls by a final score of 17-9.
Offensively the Raiders collected 9 runs on 10 hits and were led by Kory Koller who finished 3-4 with a run, 2 singles, a double and 2 RBI. Lawrence Pruitt collected two singles and finished 2-3 with a run, a stolen base and 2 RBI. Brett Steinwagner put the Raiders ahead early in the first inning when he smashed a 2-run HR in his only at-bat of the game. Derek Krumrei, Andrew Entenza, and Kellen Pearson all added singles en route to Hudson's 9 runs.
Despite the solid offensive production, the Raiders were unable to stop Chippewa Fall's bats as they pulled away in the late innings to a 17-9 victory. Hudson will play games 2 and 3 of the River Falls Tournament tomorrow as they take on Mankato, MN at 10AM and Rosemount, MN at 6PM.
