Raiders Lose to Chippewa Falls 12-1

Hudson was back in action on Wednesday night as they hosted Chippewa Falls. The Raiders struggled as they dropped the contest by a score of 12-1. Offensively the Raiders were led by Billy Sarno who continued to swing a hot bat as he collected the loan Raider RBI and finished 1-2 with a single and 1 RBI. Austin Lenzen, Lawrence Pruitt and Brian DePauw all added singles and Parker McNamee doubled and scored the Raiders lone run.

Jon Stoffer started on the bump for the Raiders and despite struggling stayed in the game to pitch 4 complete innings against a strong hitting Chippewa Falls squad. Billy Sarno pitched a scoreless 5th inning of the shortened 10-run rule game.

The Raiders will look to rebound as they head to Apple Valley this weekend for the "Firecracker Classic" tournament. The Raiders will play Westside at 1PM and Thunder Bay, Canada at 3:30PM on Friday, July 2nd and will also play Apple Valley, MN at 8PM on Saturday, July 3rd. If the Raiders place in the top 4 of the 12 teams in the tournament, they will play in the semi-finals to be held on Monday, July 5th.
